For this latest version of the range topping Prime SP-16.1 race suit, Sparco have optimised it in every way and even managed to reduce the weight further still, making it one of the lightest suits available off the peg.
- Ultra lightweight, ideal for where weight saving is paramount
- Lightweight flat seams reduce pressure points for improved comfort and reduced fatigue
- Low profile, FHR friendly epaulets reduces shoulder discomfort
- Stretch panels and arm bellows provide optimum movement and comfort
The Sparco Prime SP-16.1 has been developed using the very latest high-performance material, state of the art technology and manufacturing processes. Improvements to all the suits ancillaries (cuffs, zip, stretch panels, epaulets etc) have helped reduce the overall weight of the suit (a size 52 now typically weighs just 740g). The result is that the Prime SP-16.1 is one of the lightest FIA approved race suits available.
Ultra thin stitching on all decorative items, and thinner stitching on structural areas give a flat stitch pattern for improved comfort. Floating arm bellows and lumbar stretch panels are made from a light breathable fabric to help maintain a lower body temperature. The suits outer layer is constructed from Dupont Nomex comfort fabric which has excellent anti-static properties.
